Due to the injury of my rider when falling from her own horse, I am looking for a temporary rider for my new horse.  You must be experienced and competent and have preferably competed at affiliated dressage and/or jumping/eventing.  You will need to be able to drive to get to me, we are in Hartley (Kent) close to Brands Hatch and Eaglesfield Equestrian Centre and Speedgate Farm.

There is no payment either way, I do all the work and get the horse washed, plaited and ready and will take him to the shows for you.  You can either come to me and travel in the lorry with us or meet us at the show.  The only thing I would ask you to pay for is your lessons, we have a very nice and very good instructor who is local and also a lovely 20 x 60 school all to ourselves.

The horse is a 16.2 chestnut gelding by Ghareeb, he is 8 years old and a true gentleman, he jumps and dressages and has been produced in a professional eventing yard.  We do mainly affiliated dressage but like to break it up with combined training and show jumping and also ODE, RC teams and also BD teams (if we get on them).  I pay all entry fees.  You are also welcome to take him to clinics etc.

This is an exciting and excellent opportunity for the right person.  You will need to ride 3 to 4 times a week schooling and taking him for a canter up to the  local parish field.  I do the slow work on the road keeping him fit in between the days you ride.  This is flexible and doesnít have to be the same days each week.

Sadly it sounds like my rider is badly injured and I donít know how long she will be out for so there is a possibility that this could become a permanent position.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in and is in your distance range then please contact me Mrs Kim Atkinson 07834 170830 or 01474 703063 or kim@gorsewood.plus.com
